Apple’s new initiative will help Apple to take advantage of festive demand.
Apple said that the new online store starting on September 23 will give customers the same services as the Apple Store spread across the world.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said in February that the company would start its online store in India later this year, while its first traditional retail store would be operational in 2021. Apple currently sells its products in India through third-party vendors and online marketplaces such as Flipkart and Amazon. The central government relaxed the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) guidelines for the single-brand retail sector last year, under which local outsourcing regulations were simplified for companies.

Following the government’s move, Apple had said that it was keen to open online and traditional stores for Indian users in accordance with its global standards. The company said in the statement that customers can get advice through these stores and can learn about new products directly from Apple. In the new service, customers will be able to get guidance directly from Apple, which includes online support in English and phone support in Hindi and English.
