WhatsApp is rolling out an update to fix the media shortcut option in the instant messaging app. Some users noticed the bug when they found that the media shortcut was not available to them. Now WhatsApp is fixing this bug with a new update. When you open images, videos, GIFs, you already got a quick edit shortcut there. But WhatsApp has released a new side shortcut while opening multiple media just a week ago.

WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo reported that some users noticed the new Fast Edit shortcut and questioned what it was for as the shortcut was not working.

Issuing a statement, WABetaInfo wrote, ‘After releasing the new WhatsApp beta for Android update, WhatsApp is now eliminating that shortcut. We don’t know if they are planning to introduce shortcuts once again in future.

Android users saw this change and now WhatsApp company is fixing it for them as well. WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play beta program, which is rolling out the update to every model. You can still check out the WhatsApp beta for the Android update on the Play retailer.
