Big news: after the ban on 59 apps, now the government can ban 20 more apps – News18 Hindi

new Delhi. After banning 59 apps from China, the government is reviewing the data sharing policy of 20 more apps. According to information received from sources to CNBC Awaaz, companies whose servers are in China may be banned. Along with this, the IT Ministry can also give instructions to ban many websites. The IT ministry is reviewing several parameters. Among the 20 apps whose data sharing policy is being reviewed by the government, many popular gaming apps are also included.

59 Chinese apps banned in India
Recently, the Central Government has banned these 59 Chinese apps under section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (IT Act, 2020). The central government has taken this step at a time when the border dispute is going on in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh.

Army officials ordered to delete 89 apps
Apart from this, orders have been given to Indian Army officers and soldiers to delete Facebook-Instagram account. Along with this, a list of 89 other apps have also been released, which are to be uninstalled from mobile. According to the order, everyone has to complete it by July 15.
