Many online shopping companies, including Amazon, have taken a big decision due to the lockdown in India across the country on April 14 due to the Coronavirus. Giant e-commerce company Amazon has temporarily discontinued some of its services. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of a 21-day lockdown across India to prevent virus infection, Amazon said it had temporarily stopped taking orders for low-priority products and that they had gone for sanitation and The rest is focusing on the supply of high priority goods.

Growers – Big Basket is not even taking orders
Not only this, shopping websites like Growers and Big Basket have also stopped their services. Grofers have given the option of ‘Notify Me’ on their page. After this service, customers will get notifications automatically.

Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket, Licious along with Grofers, MilkBasket have also stopped the service.

At the same time, Big Basket says that due to high demand, every facility available on the website is being made available only to existing customers. Apart from this, food delivery website Licious has also told that orders are not being taken now due to high demand.

Not only this, the online delivery service Milkbasket has also informed the customers of Gurgaon, Noida and Hyderabad that delivery will not be done for the next few days.

Flipkart also stopped service
Walmart-owned Flipkart said on Wednesday that it was temporarily shutting down its services in India. On opening, there is a banner on the page, on which a message has been given. It is written, ‘We are temporarily shutting down our services. Your need is first for us, and we promise that we will come back as soon as possible. This is a difficult time, as never before. It has never happened that people had to stay separate from each other to be safe. We request that you also stay in your homes and be safe.
