Bhim App

NPCI said, ‘We want to make it clear that there is no tampering with the data of Bhima App ….

Mumbai. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has rejected the claim that the Bhim App (BHIM App) has found a way to breach. Burglary in this mobile payment app was claimed on Monday by a group of hackers who used hacking for good cause. Bhima app is used by people for small transactions from mobile. It was introduced by NPCI in November 2016 after demonetisation. The number of people paying through this is in crores.

A website named VPNMenter claimed that it has detected the alleged ‘data burglary’ in this digital app. VPNMenter claims that it is the largest website to review ‘Virtual Private Network’ (VPN). This group helps people online to protect people from cyber attacks.

VPNMenter claims, “If the developer of the Bhima app followed some of the normal data security rules, then the breach in the data of the users could have been avoided.” The website claims that a lot of sensitive financial data related to the Bhima app can be made public. However, NPCI said in a statement, ‘We want to make it clear that there is no tampering of the data of Bhima App. All people are requested not to be misled by any such information.
