Similarly, this policy is already applicable in other services of Google like GMail and Google Drive. However, there is some good news for subscribers. Google has said that the unlimited facility to share photos in Google Photos will be applicable to photos saved before June 1, 2020. That is, from 1 June 2021, 15GB free space will be applicable. More than this, if 15 GB of storage is increased, subscribers will now have to pay money.
Let us know that about 28 billion new photos are uploaded every week on Google Photos. Google also believes that within 3 years of the implementation of this new policy, about 80 percent of its photo users will not cross the prescribed limit of 15 GB. But after 1 June 2021, the user will have to take care of this, that he should save his better and necessary photos.
Google has also said that as soon as the storage of a subscriber reaches near the cap of 15GB, it will be informed through email or app notifications. If a user needs more than 15GB of storage, then Google will have to pay Rs 130 per month or Rs 1300 annually for subscription on a monthly basis. And instead, subscribers will get 100 GB of storage facility.
