‘Houseparty’ app in top trend amid lockdown, now why are users deleting fast?

Due to the lockdown in India, an app named ‘houseparty’ has gone viral very fast among the people living at home. The craze of this app among the youth has increased so much that it has come in the list of top trading free apps on both iOS and Android platforms. Till Monday afternoon, through this app, everyone was talking comfortably to their family and friends and all was well, but then suddenly in the evening many users started complaining about it. Users say that through this app, hackers are using sensitive personal data from their phones.

Apart from this, he also says that hackers are also tampering with the rest of the phone’s apps, such as Instagram and Spotify. Some users have also complained about money being stolen. The ‘deletehouseparty’ trend started happening on Twitter with the hashtag and gradually people started deleting the houseparty app.

Denying this, houseparty clarified and said that this app is completely secure, so users should not be afraid of data theft. Further said, all the accounts of the houseparty are safe and secure. And the promise is that this app will never steal users’ passwords for other websites.

Should you delete Houseparty too?
It is believed that the cleaning given by the houseparty is possible, and the ‘delete houseparty’ fraud payment campaign should be done. The app says that a bounty of 1 million bounty will be given to expose the person who carried out such a campaign.

According to the privacy of the houseparty, this app only collects the data of the user given inside the app. It contains information related to the user’s contact, phone number and contests. Also, it includes automatic data via IP address.
