Facebook’s new ‘Care’ emoji will be available in the Facebook app from next week, while the messenger emoji has been rolled out in some countries.

Facebook has added two new emoji reactions to its app and messenger. These new reactions are associated with Covid-19, which is named ‘care’. Through this, users will be able to show support on each other’s posts. On Facebook, this emoji has been created as ‘face hugging’, while on Messenger it has been made as a ‘pulsing heart’. This new emoji will be seen with the emoji of Facebook’s previous emoji like, Basic Heart, Laugh, Shock, Sad and Anger.

Facebook launched the Reaction feature in 2015, before that there was only an option to create ‘thumbsup’ on the post. But later many emoji were added to give more expression to the users.

Alexandu Voica, Facebook’s Tech Communications Manager in the EMEA Region, shared a post on behalf of the social media site. It is written that we know this is a difficult time and we want users to show support to their friends and family and for this we have brought a new way.

If you look at the icon of the new Care Reaction, ‘Face Emoji Hagging the Heart’ is visible in it. Apart from this, Facebook Messenger app is also being given the option to show support during Corona virus infection.
