Now users will be allowed to use Saregama’s songs for videos, stories, stickers on Facebook and Instagram.

new Delhi. Saregama said on Wednesday that it has entered into a global agreement with Facebook, under which its music can be used on Facebook and Instagram for videos and other experiences. The company said in a statement that under this partnership, users will be allowed to use its music for videos, stories, stickers and other creative content on Facebook and Instagram.

The statement said that users can also add songs to their Facebook profile. Saregama India managing director Vikram Mehra said, “Now millions of Facebook users who create stories and videos, they will be able to add music to our huge collection.”

Saregama has more than one lakh songs in various genres including film songs, devotional music, Ghazals and Indipop in more than 25 languages.

Special app launchedApart from this, Facebook has recently launched a calling app named Catch-Up. Through this app, video calls can be made to groups of up to 8 people at a time. The catchup app has been created by Facebook’s new Product Experimentation (NPE) team. The specialty of this app is that it informs users in advance that whether other users are available for video call or not. Also, Facebook account is not required to login in this app. This app has just been tested in the US, and has been launched for iOS and Android.
