If you order food online too, then there are some things to keep in mind to avoid cheating…

Due to the coronavirus crisis, the lockdown continues across the country including Mumbai to prevent it from spreading. Due to this lockdown there has been a large reduction in serious crimes, but incidents of petty crimes and theft are being heard. During lockdown, a woman was asked to fetch food online from a hotel and her 50 thousand rupees were blown.

According to the news published in Maharashtra Times, a 49-year-old woman saw the advertisement of a hotel on social media and called the phone number in it and asked her to take the food order. On this, the hotel staff sent him a link and asked him to fill his name and other details.

She said it is necessary to fill in the details, as this does not require the hotel to ask for their name the next time the customer orders and the food reaches their door in a few minutes. This lady debited the link when she opened the link. Card information was also asked, which was filled by this woman. After that, I got a call again from that hotel that you will get a 4 digit number for confirmation. After filling this number, you can give the order you want to place.

After this, the woman understood that she had been cheated and immediately went to LT Marg Police Station and lodged a complaint against this crime. Now the crime branch team is investigating this matter.

You don’t make such a mistake
Never believe every advertisement. Also, if you have ordered food by calling somewhere, then avoid sharing your personal information. Always keep in mind that no company ever asks for OTP on your phone, so never share it with anyone.
