In an order issued on May 18, the Department of Telecommunications has asked the Internet service providers to block two download links on the Netherlands website WeTransfer and the entire website ‘WeTransfer.com’.
An official source said, ‘Delhi Police had requested the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to immediately block two links and the entire website. Based on this, this order has been given.
The Ministry has asked the Department of Telecommunications to instruct Internet service providers to block the website. In an order sent to various internet service providers through e-mail, the Department of Telecommunications has said that information about its compliance should be given immediately, otherwise action will be taken under the terms of the license.
