WeTransfer is banned when a number of companies and educational institutions are using WeTransfer’s services to transfer large-size files and data during the working form home in lockdown due to the Corona virus. WeTransfer was founded in 2009. There are 50 million users worldwide. During the lockdown, there has been a tremendous increase in its users in India. This website allows the user to send up to 2GB long files for free and there is no need to create a separate account for this.

Premium users of WeTransfer can send files up to 20GB through this site and they also get 1TB of storage space. Normally a website is banned when it is used for any illegal activity or because of which pornography is promoted or they pose a threat to national security.
Answering questions related to this news on Twitter, WeTransfer has said that she has received information about being partially banned in India and is trying to get more information about it. The WeTransfer website has advised its users to use virtual private network (VPN) to use this service.
Meanwhile, some users have been able to use this website without VPN in any way. It is worth noting that there are many more such apps and websites which we can use as an option of WeTransfer.
