Petrol-Diesel Price Today: These days the price of crude oil is showing a fluctuating trend in the international market. However, crude oil prices still remain at a seven-month low. Despite this, there is no difference in the prices of petrol and diesel in the country. According to the new rate released by the oil companies this morning, the prices remain stable even today.
There has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel for more than three and a half months. However, after the fall in the prices of crude oil in the global market, there is a hope of reduction in the rate of petrol and diesel.
Huge fall in crude oil after August
If the current rate is compared with the rate of crude oil of the last day of August, then the prices have come down significantly. On August 31, the price of Dubki Ti crude was at $ 96.77 per barrel and Brent crude at $ 104.7 per barrel. Since the first week of September, there has been a downward trend in the prices.
On Tuesday, the price of WKTI crude was at $ 87.87 per barrel while Brent crude was seen at $ 94.08 per barrel. On Wednesday morning, the price of TI crude was $ 87.67 per barrel while Brent crude reached $ 93.49 per barrel. There was a slight rise in crude oil in the market that closed on Wednesday evening.
Oil market experts say that in view of the current trend, the prices of crude oil may fall further in the coming days. Its rate can reach $ 85 per barrel. For this reason, the rate of petrol and diesel is expected to decrease in the coming days.
Stability has been maintained for a long time
After the suspension of excise duty in May, the rates of petrol and diesel had come down significantly. Since then, except Maharashtra and Meghalaya, the rates of petrol and diesel have remained stable in all other states of the country. In Meghalaya, the rate of petrol and diesel has increased by Rs 1.5 a liter in the last day, while in Maharashtra, due to the reduction in VAT rates by the Shinde government, petrol became cheaper by Rs 5 and diesel by Rs 3.
