Stability has been maintained for four months

Four months ago, there was a wave of happiness among consumers due to the fall in the rates of petrol and diesel. Excise duty on petrol and diesel was reduced by the government on May 21, after which petrol became cheaper by about Rs 8 and diesel by about Rs 6. There has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel since then.

Maharashtra and Meghalaya are the only two states where there is a difference in prices.
