On 14 September the Queen’s coffin traveled from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Palace (Houses of Parliament). Apart from his eldest son, King Charles IIIhis two sons, Prince Harry And Prince William Walked behind his coffin. Queen Consort Camilla, Kate Middleton And Meghan Markle Was also in procession, but traveled by car.
After the Queen’s coffin has arrived at the Palace of Westminster, also known as Westminster Hall, the late royal will remain there during what is known as the period of the lying kingdom. This five-day deadline, in which members of the public can file to pay their respects, ends on Monday, September 19, hours before his funeral begins. Thousands of mourners have already queued up in London to pay tribute to the longest-reigning monarch.
The procession for Queen Elizabeth – who died on 8 September at the age of 96 – arrives from her previous location at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland, a day after her coffin arrived in London.
