Bharat Jodo Yatra: Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ begins from Thrissur, Kerala, Congress workers protest against inflation

Bharat Jodo Yatra: After a day’s rest, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ resumed. Sunday is the 18th day of the journey. Rahul Gandhi started his yatra today from Thrissur, Kerala. After traveling 11 kms, the journey is halted for a while at Vadakkanchery. Many senior leaders including Kerala Congress veteran V Muraleedharan, KC Venugopal, Ramesh Chennithala and VD Satheshan are walking along with Rahul Gandhi in this yatra.

At the same time, hundreds of workers accompanying him in the yatra also demonstrated against the increase in the price of LPG cylinders. Congress workers were walking in the yatra with cutouts and banners shaped like LPG cylinders and shouting slogans. The banners he held showed the prices of LPG cylinders in the country.

Rahul had attacked PM Modi over inflation

It is worth mentioning that while addressing a large public meeting in Thrissur on Saturday, Congress MP from Wayanad Rahul Gandhi had strongly attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the increased prices of LPG cylinders. He had said that BJP and RSS are resorting to violence to divert attention from the main issues. Addressing the people, Rahul said, when the UPA government was at the center, the price of a gas cylinder was Rs 400. At that time the current Prime Minister used to complain about the price of gas cylinder being Rs 400, but today these cylinders are being available for Rs 1000, yet he does not utter a word.

Rahul’s craze showed in Thrissur

Rahul Gandhi, who is undertaking a long padyatra in Kerala through Bharat Jodo Yatra, is getting tremendous response. On Sunday morning, the Congress had appealed to the people to join the yatra. After this a large number of people gathered. There was a lot of craze among women and children about Rahul Gandhi. The Wayanad MP also broke his security cordon and met him and posed for photographs with him.

Let us inform that the Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Kerala on 10 September. This journey will cover a distance of 450 km in this state. During this the Yatra will pass through seven districts. The Yatra will enter Karnataka on October 1. The journey, which started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7, will cover a distance of 3,570 km in 150 days and end in Jammu and Kashmir.
