Police on Sunday registered a case of murder against four people, including a district BJP leader, after his 10-year-old son shot dead a neighbor while playing. Children were playing ‘chor-sipahi’ (police-thief) in the neighborhood of Karari police station area on Saturday evening when the son of a BJP leader “brought the politician’s pistol and accidentally opened fire on the 11-year-old boy”, Superintendent of Police Samar Bahadur Singh said.
The victim died on the spot, Singh said, adding that a case was registered based on her father’s complaint. The son of a district-level BJP leader, his nephew and sister-in-law have also been named in the FIR.
