J&K SI Recruitment Scam: CBI is in action regarding J&K Sub Inspector Recruitment scam. The investigating agency is conducting simultaneous raids at 33 locations in the country including the national capital Delhi. According to the information received, the central agency is conducting raids in Jammu, Srinagar, Haryana’s Karnal, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gujarat’s Gandhinagar, Delhi, UP’s Ghaziabad and Karnataka’s capital Bengaluru. The CBI is also searching the premises of former Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board chairman Khalid Jehangir and the board’s current controller of examination Ashok Kumar.

The result of the Sub Inspector recruitment exam was declared on June 4 this year. After which allegations of malpractices in the examination came to the fore. On the request of the Jammu and Kashmir administration, the CBI has registered a case against 33 accused on charges of irregularities in the written examination of SI recruitment. In fact, after the result of the examination, a large number of candidates had complained to the administration about rigging. After which in August, after canceling the SI recruitment, the administration handed over the investigation of the selection process to the CBI.

The first raid took place on August 5

The CBI’s second round of raids is going on today i.e. on Tuesday in connection with the Jammu and Kashmir SI recruitment scam. Earlier, raids were conducted on August 5. According to the information given by an official, after registering a case against 32 people including Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) member Narayan Dutt, middlemen and candidates in the Sub Inspector recruitment scam case, on August 5, 28 places in Jammu, Srinagar and Srinagar were registered. Raids were conducted at one place in Bangalore. The CBI has named a medical officer, a coaching operator from Jammu and a Bangalore-based company in its case.

Let us inform that JKSSB had conducted the examination for the recruitment of 1200 posts of SI in Jammu and Kashmir Police on 27 March 2022 at various locations in Jammu and Kashmir. This exam was OMR based. Its result was declared on 4 June 2022.
