Meanwhile, Goa Police went to Sonali’s flat in Noida on Monday and questioned the tenants living there. A two-member team of Goa Police had gone to Noida flat for investigation which was rented out by Sonali to a person named Sagar. This flat is located in Sector 52, Aravali Apartment, Noida. This information was also given to the Noida Police first and then the local police also went for questioning along with the investigation team.
According to police sources, the team has recovered some documents, a passport, around Rs 16,000 in cash and some jewelery from the flat. They also searched the white colored Tata Safari car in the basement of the society. Goa Police probing the murder had claimed that Sonali’s properties worth crores were under the watch of her PA Sudhir Sangwan. Sonali Phogat was the owner of assets worth about Rs 110 crore and now after her death, her 15-year-old daughter Yashodhara is the only heir.
The cost of land in village Dhandur between Sirsa and Rajgarh road bypass in Hisar is around Rs 7-8 crore per acre. Apart from the land worth Rs 96 crore here, Sonali’s resort is being valued at around Rs 6 crore. Apart from this, there are about 3 crore houses and shops in Sant Nagar. Sonali Phogat had 3 luxury vehicles including a Scorpio, which are now missing.
