There are four types of blood groups found in the human body. These blood groups are known as A, B, AB and O. These four blood groups are found differently in every person, they are determined on the basis of the presence or non-presence of the number of antigens in the blood. If understood in simple language, if Rh factor is present in someone’s blood group A, then his blood group will be A positive.

According to a recent study – people with A, B and AB blood groups are at higher risk of heart attack. The American Heart Association’s (AHA) study published in Artio Sclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology showed that people with A or B blood groups were 8 times more likely to have a heart attack than people with O blood groups. Let us tell you that this has been revealed after studying 4 lakh people.

European Society of Cardiology also studied

In addition, another study conducted in 2017 by the European Society of Cardiology included a similar analysis of more than 13.6 lakh people. The results of the study showed that people with non-O blood group have a 9 percent higher risk of coronary and heart related problems than someone with O blood group.

According to the study, people with B blood group had a 15 percent higher risk of heart attack than those with O group. However, the highest risk of heart attack was seen in people with A blood group. According to this study, the risk is 11 percent higher in people with A blood group. Heart attack risk in all blood groups except O negative has been reported to increase their susceptibility to blood clots. Let us tell you that the blood clotting protein, von Willebrand factor (VWF), has been found more in the non-O blood group.
