Tofu Recipes: Tofu is a soy based product which is considered very good for health and well being. Today we bring you a list of recipes that will give a perfect tasteful twist to this health-friendly staple.

1. Tofu Kofta

Ingredients required for koftas:

200 g tofu, crumbled

3 potatoes boiled and peeled

1 tbsp cashew paste

Salt and red chili powder as per taste

oil for frying

For Gravy:

2 tbsp oil

2 onions, chopped

2 tsp ginger paste

2 tsp garlic paste

1/2 cup tomato puree

a pinch of turmeric powder

Salt and red chili powder as per taste

1/2 tsp garam masala


Take a bowl and mix the tofu and potatoes together.

Now, drizzle the ingredients list of the koftas and start making small balls.

Deep fry these balls and keep aside.

Now take a vessel and heat oil in it. Saute onion, ginger and garlic with tomato puree and turmeric.

Add garam masala, salt and red chilli powder and keep stirring occasionally till you get the aroma. Add kofta balls and mix well.

Serve hot with rice or paratha.

2. Tofu Burger

necessary ingredients

250 g tofu, crumbled

1 cup bread crumbs

1 cup chickpeas, cooked


2 garlic cloves, chopped

1 tsp cumin

2 onions, cut into rings

2 carrots, chopped

1/4 cup tahini sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

multi-grain buns


Take a pan and fry garlic and cumin in it. Now add chopped vegetables and fry for some time.

Meanwhile, take a bowl and mix the tofu, chickpeas, tahini sauce and bread crumbs along with salt and pepper.

Now add roasted vegetables to this mixture.

Make small balls from this mixture and deep fry in a pan till it becomes crispy.

Form burgers, coat the patties with a layer of tahini sauce and onion rings and serve.

3. Tofu Mousse

necessary ingredients

250 grams silken tofu

a cup of chocolate

1 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp orange peel

1/2 cup sugar powder

4 biscuits, crumbled


Take a pot and boil water in it. Now put a boiler and melt the chocolate. Add cocoa powder to this melted chocolate and keep stirring to prevent any lumps.

Now take a blender and blend the tofu in it till it becomes creamy. Add vanilla extract and orange zest and blend for 2 minutes more.

Now, add sugar powder to the cocoa mixture and mix well. Now add it to the tofu mixture.

Take a bowl or glass. Add a coat of crumbled biscuits and then chocolate paste and repeat the process. serve chilled.

4. Masala Tofu Bhurji

necessary ingredients

200 grams tofu (fried)

1 onion (chopped)

1 tomato (chopped)

inch ginger (grated)

tsp cumin

a pinch of turmeric powder

Salt and pepper to taste

red chili powder as per taste

1 tsp oil

coriander leaves


Take a pan and heat oil in it. Add cumin and ginger paste and fry well. Mix the tomatoes and fry till they become soft.

Sprinkle turmeric powder, salt, black pepper and red chili powder and mix well till a sweet aroma comes out.

Now add fried tofu to this mixture and mix well.

Garnish with coriander leaves, and pack with roti or use it as stuffing in homemade wraps.
