Jeep India has now launched its Compass with a new edition called Black shark edition. We see many cosmetic changes in the New Jeep compass Black shark edition. Along with this, the company has also changed its engine option. And now it has been made more affordable in the Indian market, Jeep has introduced it in 4×2 variant especially for the Indian market.

Currently Jeet has Jeep Compass, Meridian, Rangular and Grand Cherokee in its lineup in the Indian market.

Jeep has made several cosmetic changes to its Black Shark Edition which makes it a special edition from the current model. However, Jeep has also introduced the Overland version of the Meridian along with the Compass. Talking about the special edition, Jeep has offered some new elements with the Compass such as Compass hatching on the door and shiny glossy painted IRVM housing.

Along with this, it has also been introduced with new black alloy wheels. To further add freshness to the look, the carmaker has applied Black Shark Edition branding on its front fender. In other changes, the front grille has been introduced in glassy black, which looks much more aggressive.

The Jeep Compass facelift version is also going to be offered with a similar new grille and alloy wheels.

On the inside, this new edition has been specially introduced with a new all black theme in the cabin. Additionally, this edition gets red accents on the dashboard and steering wheel and contrast red stitching on the seat upholstery. The cabin is very premium and equipped with features. The use of red color is further enhancing the beauty of the cabin.

Talking about convenience, the company has not made any changes in its features. It will continue to operate with all its current features, including a 10.5-inch touch screen infotainment system with a 10.25-inch digital driver display and connected car technology. Other highlights include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless charging, front ventilated seats, dual zone climate control, 360 degree camera, ambient lighting and height adjustable driver seat.

Like the features in the Black Shark Edition, there has been no change in its safety features too, it is going to continue to operate all its current safety features, which include six airbags, EBD with ABD, electronic stability control, tire pressure Sensors are available along with monitoring system, hill haul assist, hill descent control and reverse parking camera.

Under the bonnet, the company has also introduced the facility of 2WD version, which is powered with 2.0 liter Multi Jet diesel engine. This engine option generates power of 168 bhp and torque of 350 Nm. Now its top variant is going to have the facility of four wheel drive system with 9 speed automatic in gearbox option.

The company claims that it can run from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.8 seconds. This speed makes it the fastest SUV in this segment.

Jeep Compass Black Shark Edition 4×2 Diesel has been priced at Rs 20.49 lakh ex-showroom in the Indian market. Whereas the price of its top model in the Indian market is Rs 32 lakh ex-showroom. You can book it through online website or by visiting your nearest Jeep dealership.

Jeep The Compass Black Shark Edition does not compete directly with any SUV in the Indian market, but the normal variant competes with the likes of Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, Hyundai Tucson, Citroen C3 Aircross, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
