The company is going to make only changes in its size. It is going to be operated with the same engine options as the current Thar. However, the company will change its output. The 2.0 liter turbo petrol engine and 2.2 liter diesel engine will continue to be operated in future also. The turbo petrol engine will generate 150 bhp power and 320 Nm peak torque, while the diesel engine will generate 130 bhp power and 300 Nm torque. Six-speed manual and automatic transmission will be offered as gearbox options.

Mahindra Thar 5 Door price in the Indian market is expected to start from Rs 15 lakh. Whereas company has made it clear that they do not have any product to launch in 2023, Mahindra Thar 5 Door is expected to be launched in early 2024.
