New Delhi: Former Indian batsman S Badrinath on Sunday said that he has come positive in the Kovid-19 investigation and is currently quarantined at home, making him the third former Indian cricketer to be infected in the ‘Road Safety World Series Tournament’ in the last two days. .
S Badrinath had recently played in the Veterans tournament held in Raipur, before that the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and former Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan also came on Kovid-19 positive. Badrinath said on his Twitter handle, ‘I was taking all the necessary precautions and getting tests done regularly. Nevertheless I came to Kovid-19 positive and I have some mild symptoms.
Badrinath announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in 2018. He said, ‘I will follow all the protocols and stay away from everyone at home and work as per the advice of my doctor.’
Covid-19 cases are continuously increasing in the country, in which 62,714 new cases were reported on Saturday itself. On Saturday, Sachin Tendulkar and Yusuf Pathan announced their Kovid-19 positive.
