Ahead of the India-Pakistan match, Gautam Gambhir hit back at Babar Azam

New Delhi: The T20 World Cup 2021 will start immediately after IPL 2021. On October 24, there will be a great match between India and Pakistan in Dubai. Fans are eagerly waiting for this high voltage match. Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Babar Azam has warned India, while now former India opener Gautam Gambhir has retaliated.

Gautam Gambhir says that when Pakistan plays India in the ICC T20 World Cup match on October 24, there will be a lot of pressure on it. The first match of Group-2 will be played between India and Pakistan. Apart from these two teams, there will also be New Zealand, Afghanistan and two qualifying teams in this group.

There will be pressure on Pakistan: Gambhir

Gambhir said, ‘I am sure this will put a lot of pressure on Pakistan because India has a 5-0 record against Pakistan in the World Cup. We should not talk about whether there will be pressure on India. There will be pressure on Pakistan because there will be a lot of expectations from them.

He said, ‘If seen, at this time India is much better than Pakistan. Yes, anyone can beat anyone in T20. We cannot take any team lightly. A team like Afghanistan also becomes heavy at times. The same is with Pakistan but the pressure will be on the Pakistani team.

Team India’s victory against Pakistan is confirmed!

Gambhir said that India won its first match against Pakistan in the 2007 T20 World Cup and after that it comfortably focused on the rest of the tournament.

Gambhir said, ‘When we won the 2007 T20 World Cup, our first match was against Scotland which was washed out. After that our first match was with Pakistan. It is important to play Pakistan at the start of the tournament.

He said, ‘You don’t have to think much about Pakistan. You’ve already played with them after which you can focus on the rest of the tournament. I am very happy for both the countries that they will play against each other’.

Babar Azam was shocked

Pakistan team captain Babar Azam said before the match against India in the ICC T20 World Cup in Dubai on October 24 that for his team, the T20 World Cup is like a home event. The ICC announced the event on Tuesday. It was originally to be held in India, but due to Corona, it has been shifted to UAE and Oman.

On the ICC website, Azam said, ‘The announcement of the T20 World Cup schedule brings us a step forward in our preparations for this much-awaited global tournament. Azam warned that the T20 World Cup is like a home event for Pakistan, as the UAE has been his team’s venue for more than a decade.

India and Pakistan will now face each other after 2019

There has not been a bilateral series between India and Pakistan since 2013 and the match between them is seen only in ICC events. India last played a match against Pakistan in the 2019 ODI World Cup in England and won.

The ICC T20 World Cup will start in UAE and Oman from October 17 and its final match will be played in Dubai on November 14.
