England’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes may return to competitive cricket playing for Durham in the T20 Blast next week. Stokes is currently out of the ongoing Test series with New Zealand due to injury. According to the report of Cricinfo, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has not yet informed about the return of Stokes. But his target is to return in the second XI T20 match against Lancashire on 14 June. Durham still have four more matches to play in the T20 Blast and Stokes can make a comeback in them.

This will be the 30-year-old Stokes’ first match in the T20 Blast in three years. He was out of the Rajasthan Royals team from IPL 2021 due to injury and after that he had finger surgery. The all-rounder had recently said that he is recovering well from his finger injury for which he underwent surgery.
