Kolkata: Ashok Dinda, who was the star bowler of India’s domestic cricket, retired from all formats of cricket. In domestic cricket, this veteran fast bowler of Bengal (Bengal) used to speak. Ashok Dinda has taken 420 wickets in 116 first class matches. In this way Ashok Dinda’s one and a half decade long career came to an end.
Ashok Dinda’s body was not supporting
The 36-year-old Ashok Dinda has played 13 ODIs and nine T20 Internationals for India. Dinda has taken 12 wickets in ODIs and 17 in T20 Internationals. Dinda played three matches for Goa in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, but later realized that his body was not supporting.
69 wickets in IPL
Dinda represented the Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders, Pune Warriors India, Rising Pune Supergiants and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL). This fast bowler took 69 wickets in 78 IPL matches at a strike rate of 21.97.
Second successful bowler after Utpal Chatterjee
Ashok Dinda is the second most successful bowler in Bengal after former left-arm spinner Utpal Chatterjee. Dinda said, ‘I am retiring from all formats of cricket. I have sent an email in this regard to the BCCI and the Goa Cricket Association.

Dinda thanked BCCI President and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, who went against the people in the 2005–06 season to give this pacer the opportunity to debut against Maharashtra in Pune. Bengal Cricket Association President Avishek Dalmia, Secretary Snehasish Ganguly and Joint Secretary Devvrat Das thanked Dinda for his contribution and gave him a silver plaque and a bouquet of flowers.
