new Delhi: The Assam government has decided to appoint young Indian sprinter Hima Das (Hima Das) to the post of DSP. This decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. The cabinet has amended the Integrated Sports Policy for the appointment of players in category-1 and category-2 in various departments of the state government. State medalists in the Olympic and Commonwealth Games will be appointed in Category-I. At the same time, the players who won medals in the World Championship will be appointed in category-2.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal gave a tweet about the appointment of Hima Das (Hima Das) to the post of DSP. He tweeted, “CMO has approved amendment in sports policy to provide appointment to medal winners of Olympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and World Championships. Hima Das will be appointed as DSP.
The CoM approved amendment to the Integrated Sports Policy for the state providing for appointment to medal winners of Olympics, Asian Games, CWG (Class 1) and medal winners of World Championships senior (Class 2) officers.

Rijiju expressed happiness
Union Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju has expressed happiness over the creation of DSP of Hima Das. Rijiju tweeted, ‘Awesome! The Assam cabinet has appointed Hima Das (DSP) in Assam Police under the chairmanship of CM Sarbananda Sonowal.

Let us know that Hima Das made history by winning the gold in the women’s 400 meters of the IAF World Under-20 Championship held in Finland in 2018. Hima Das won the final with a time of 51.46 seconds.
