London: Dominic Thiem defeated former world number one Rafael Nadal in a tough match on the third day of the ATP Finals tennis tournament, while defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas also won.

Themes defeated 20-time Grand Slam champion Nadal in straight sets and then secured a place in the semi-finals when Sitsipas defeated André Rublev in an evening match at the vacant O2 Arena.

Theme won 7-6 7-6 in the match held on Tuesday. This was the first match between the two players after the Austrian theme victory over Nadal in the Australian Open quarter-finals in January.
In the second match, Sitsipas defeated Rublev 6-1 4-6 7-6. This is Rublev’s second consecutive defeat. On Wednesday, the top seeded Novak Djokovic will face Daniel Medvedev, while Alexander Zverev will face Diego Swartzman.
