BCCI profits so much by organizing IPL 2020, viewership also increases


New Delhi: IPL 2020 was held in the UAE in place of India after the threat of pandemic COVID-19. All matches were played between 19 September and 10 November in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. According to the latest information, BCCI has benefited immensely from organizing this mega sports tournament.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has earned about 4 thousand crore rupees from this tournament held in UAE. With this, there has been a 25 percent increase in the number of TV viewers. In this IPL, about 20 thousand RT-PCR Covid tests were done for 1800 people. This is the reason why all 60 matches were conducted without any hassle.

In the wake of Coronavirus, the government allowed training in Dubai after 7 days of quarantine. But 14 days of quarantine was mandatory in Abu Dhabi, this venue was made the home ground of Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. The BCCI had reduced this quarantine period by talking to the Abu Dhabi administration.
