Meanwhile, while the players’ practice is going on in full swing, Kolkata Knight Riders’ opener batsman Shubman Gill has come in great form.

Kolkata Knight Riders opener Shubman Gill has been battling an injury for some time now. Gill, who was injured on the England tour, could not play a single match of the Test series, but now he is completely fit. Not only this, this young player has made a great comeback. In the last half of this season, Gill’s bat was calm and he could not do anything amazing. In such a situation, after coming back to his form, Shubman has a great chance to prove himself.

Due to which Kolkata Knight Riders played an intrasquad match at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. This match was played between Nitish Rana and Ben Cutting’s XI. In this match, Gill batted brilliantly and made a fright in the rest of the teams by hitting a fifty. Although, Shubman missed out on scoring a century but his innings was brilliant.

Road to playoffs tough for KKR

In the first leg of IPL, Eoin Morgan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders won only two out of 7 matches, due to which KKR’s team is at number seven in the points table. In such a situation, if KKR have to make it to the playoffs, then they will have to win at least 5 matches out of the remaining 7 matches.

IPL to start from 19th September

IPL 2021, which was postponed due to Corona on May 4, will now be restarted in September and its final will be held in October. The remaining matches of IPL 2021 are going to start from September 19 and the final match will be played on October 15.
