Big blow to Kolkata Knight Riders, these foreign players out of IPL

Abu Dhabi: At the beginning of IPL 2020, Harry Gurney of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was eliminated from the tournament. The England player was forced out of the IPL due to a shoulder injury. After which Kolkata had included American fast bowler Ali Khan in the team after Harry.

But now KKR has received a setback. Ali has also opted out of the IPL due to injury.

The IPL said in an official statement, “Kolkata had joined Ali Khan of America in place of Harry Garne and he was the first player from his country to be signed by any IPL franchise. Unfortunately, Ali is also injured and he will not play in IPL-13.

Ali, however, could not make it to the final-11 in the Kolkata match in the four matches played so far.

Ali had done well in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and that is why he was linked with Kolkata in the IPL. The title was won by Trinbago Knight Riders and Ali Khan had an important role in it.

Please tell that the current season has not been much special for KKR yet. The team has won two out of the four matches played and has lost two.
