Harmanpreet gave clarification
Harmanpreet Kaur said that it was a ‘difficult decision’ not to keep veteran fast bowler Shikha Pandey in the squad for the upcoming limited-over series against South Africa but they have not been ruled out.
India’s T20 team captain Harmanpreet Kaur said, “I know it was a difficult decision, sometimes you need to give other players a chance”.
He said, ‘They have not been eliminated, sometimes you have to take chances and after this tournament we will be able to decide our combination because we have to play a lot of cricket in the next two-three years’.
Shikha Pandey has played 52 ODIs and 50 T20 Internationals for India in which he has taken 73 and 36 wickets respectively.

Talking about the upcoming series, Harmanpreet Kaur said that despite being away from the game for so long there is no problem and she would like to gain her confidence by performing well against South Africa.
