Colombo: India has to tour Sri Lanka in July this year for the limited overs series. But the growing case of Corona in Sri Lanka has added to the woes of the Indian cricket board. In Sri Lanka, only 2,568 cases have been reported on Tuesday. According to official figures, out of 2568 new cases, 38 cases have come from abroad. On May 10, 2,624 Corona cases and 2,672 new cases were reported in the country.

Arjun D’Silva, Chairman of the Administrative Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), told Sportstar, ‘We have a plan to get the entire series in one place. It has now been decided that R Premadasa Stadium will host these matches’.
He said, ‘Of course it also depends on how the circumstances of that time are. Due to Corona, we cannot allow the fans to enter the stadium, so all the matches will be played without the spectators’.
Let us know that the Indian team will reach Sri Lanka on July 5 and then stay in Quarantine for a week after that. After completing the quarantine, the visiting team will play a three-match ODI series from July 13 and then a three-match T20 series from July 22.
India’s B team will visit Sri Lanka, as India’s A team will play the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand on 18 June. After this, a five-match Test series will also be played against England from August 4. Ravi Shastri will be with India’s A team, in such a situation, the command of India’s B team can be given to Rahul Dravid on the tour of Sri Lanka.
