Coronavirus: Big update about Rishabh Pant, know how is his health now


Durham: The Indian Test team will play a three-day practice match with the County Select XI team from July 20, but wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant will not be seen in this match, as he contracted Coronavirus a few days ago was.

Pant’s quarantine period completed

According to BCCI sources, Rishabh Pant has completed a 10-day quarantine period in London after being found positive in the coronavirus test. He is recovering but is yet to join the team’s Bio-Bubble in Durham.

This BCCI official said on the condition of confidentiality, “Even if Rishabh Pant had reached on time for the practice match, he would be given complete rest to regain the fitness required for the match. He is not showing any signs of illness but will need to practice well before the initial Test in Nottingham.

For now, Rahul will do wicketkeeping

The BCCI official further said, ‘Both Rishabh Pant and Wriddhiman Saha, who is spending time in Quarantine as a precaution, will be present for the first Test.’ In the same practice match, KL Rahul will play the role of wicketkeeper.

Fans were furious over Pant’s negligence

Rishabh Pant went to Wembley Stadium to watch the Euro 2020 pre-quarterfinal match between England and Germany on 29 June. He also tweeted a photo with some of his friends sitting in the middle of the audience, in which he was not wearing a mask. Fans trolled him for his negligence.
