CPL 2020: St. Lucia breaks Mumbai Indians’ 12-year-old world record for victory

In the CPL T20, the team of St. Lucia Zoux (ST LUCIA ZOUKS) won a world record of the IPL veteran Mumbai Indians along with the victory on Tuesday. With this victory, St. Lucia also secured entry in the final match of CPL T20.

St. Lucia set a record by winning the match in 4.3 overs
In fact, Saint Lucia won the CPL T20 playoff match against Guyana Amazon Warriors team by scoring 56 runs in just 4.3 overs. With this victory, St Lucia had 93 balls left at the time of the win, which is the new world record of the biggest difference of balls left at the time of victory in any franchise T20 league. The previous record was set by Mumbai Indians in the IPL-2008 against Kolkata Knight Riders with a target of 68 runs with 87 balls to spare.

Guyana made second lowest score of T20 Cricket League
Batting first in the match, Guyana’s team was all out after scoring just 55 runs in 13.4 overs. This score is the second lowest team score in any T20 cricket league in the world. The world record for the lowest score is in the name of the team of the Titans, who lost all wickets for just 47 runs in the South African Pro T20 series against the Eagles in 2004. St. Lucia’s team gave away the target given by Guyana, without losing wickets, Rahkeem Cornwall’s 32-ball 17 not out and Mark Dayal’s 10-ball knockout 19 runs in 56 from 4.3 overs.
