Dhaka: Bangladesh police have arrested a person who allegedly threatened to kill cricketer Shakib Al Hasan.

Shakib Al Hasan was receiving death threats for inaugurating the pandal of Kali Puja in Kolkata while the cricketer apologized saying that he was involved with the program for only a short time and did not inaugurate the pandal Was

The police anti-crime Rapid Action Battalion together arrested 28-year-old Mohsin Talukdar.

A police officer said, “He is now in our custody and a legal process will be adopted against him”.

After the photo taken by Shakib Al Hasan went viral, Talukdar threatened to kill him live on Facebook and said that this cricketer has hurt his religious sentiments by going to the pooja program. .

However, the next day, Talukdar withdrew the threat and apologized in another live video. He was arrested from Sunamganj district after his wife was detained for questioning.

The 33-year-old cricketer, who played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League, refused to inaugurate Pooja Pandal in a post on Facebook.
