Deepak Chahar gave his success credit to MS Dhoni, said- Mahi taught how to take responsibility

New Delhi: IPL team Chennai Super Kings’ fast bowler Deepak Chahar has credited team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) for becoming a powerplay bowler. Chahar can be a part of the Indian team in the limited overs series in Sri Lanka.

Mahi bhai scolded me a lot: Chahar

Chahar (Deepak Chahar) told The Times of India, ‘Mahi bhai made me a powerplay bowler. He always tells me that you are a powerplay bowler. He mostly gives me the first over of the match. I was scolded a lot by him, but I know those things and I have also benefited a lot from that guidance. It has helped me grow as a bowler.

Four studied in praise of Dhoni

Chahar (Deepak Chahar) bowled with a new ball in IPL 2021 and also took many wickets. He also took four wickets twice.

He said, ‘It was my dream from the beginning to play under the captaincy of Mahi Bhai. I have got a lot to learn under his captaincy. I have taken my game to another level under his guidance. He has always supported me. He taught me how to take responsibility. There is no one in my team (CSK) who throws three overs in the powerplay. I do this because of Mahi Bhai. Throwing the first over is not an easy task for the team. Over time I have improved and learned how to control the pace of runs, especially in T20 matches.
