E-Auction on PM Modi’s birthday: 10 crore bid on Noida DM’s racket


New Delhi: Today ie 17th September is the 71st birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Union Culture Ministry is conducting e-auction of gifts and mementos received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The souvenirs to be auctioned include sports gear and equipment of medal winning Olympians and Paralympians, replica of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Chardham, Rudraksh convention centre, models, sculptures, paintings, angavastras etc.

Noida DM’s racket bid up to 10 crores

According to the information, the bid of Suhas LY, who won the silver medal in Tokyo Paralympics, has gone up to 10 crores and Neeraj Chopra’s javelin’s bid has also gone up to 1 crore 20 lakhs. The bid for the gloves of boxer Lovlina Borgohaene has also crossed 1 crore 80 lakhs.

Things included in the auction

Apart from this, the base price of Sumit Antil’s javelin, who won gold for India in Paralympic Games, has also been kept around Rs 1 crore. The auction also includes a signed T-shirt of the shooter Avani Lekhara, who won gold and bronze at the Paralympic Games. The base price of the stick of the Olympic bronze medal winning hockey team has been kept at Rs 80 lakh.

The base price of Bronze medalist boxer Lovlina Borgohaene’s boxing gloves is also Rs 80 lakh. The base price of the racket, signed by Krishna Nagar, who won the gold medal in Paralympic Games, has been kept at Rs 80 lakh. The e-auction also includes sports gear and some equipment from some other players.

Ram temple model included

These gifts also include the model of Ayodhya Ram temple given by CM Yogi Adityanath. The base price of the Ram Mandir model is Rs 10 lakh. The wooden replica given by Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj is also included in this. Its base price is Rs 5 lakh. The proceeds from the e-auction will be donated for the Namami Gange Mission. Earlier in 2019 also in September, National Gallery of Modern Art had auctioned many things online and its amount was also donated to Namami Gange Mission.
