Cape Town: The first ODI between South Africa and England (ENG VS SA) has been postponed. Earlier, the T20 series was played between the two teams, in which the English team had cleared the sweep of Africa and won the three-match series 3-0.

The decision to postpone the match was taken with the consensus of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the host board Cricket South Africa (CSA).
CSA said in a statement, ‘CSA and ECB announce to postpone the first match of the three-match ODI series till December 6, 2020’.
The statement said, “This decision has been taken after a player from South Africa team got Kovid-19 positive. During the team’s last round test on Thursday, the player was found to be infected with Kovid. From the security point of view, and for the betterment of the match officials, both teams, CSA CEO Kugandri Gavender as well as ECB CEO Tom Harrison have decided to postpone the match till Sunday ‘.
