Pakistan pacer Fatima Sana has been ruled out of the Women’s Asia Cup to be held in Bangladesh from October 1 with an ankle injury. According to a statement by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Fatima sprained her ankle while playing in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The PCB medical panel has advised him to rest for four weeks after examining the injury. The bowler, who plays for Barbados Royals in the CPL, was also not part of the first leg of the preparatory camp for the tournament held in Lahore from 30 August to 2 September.
