Karachi: Former Pakistan captain Rameez Raja believes that India have a “very good chance” to defeat Australia again in the upcoming Test series as Australian pitches are no longer as favorable to bowlers as before.
The five-day Test series will begin with a day-night test in Adelaide from 17 December.
Rameez Raja said, ‘Australia’s pitches are not the same as they used to be a few years ago. Now the bounce in pitches is less, the ball reduces the movement and are not so favorable for the bowlers.
He said, ‘Australia would like the Test against India to run for five full days, given the number of viewership requirements. And accordingly CA will prepare the peach.
Cricket Australia (CA) has high hopes from the series against India after a huge loss due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. Former Test opener Rameez said that CA needs to benefit from the series against India and they know how important the number of viewers watching the series and the money coming from the on-field audience is.
He said, ‘There are already complaints about the unavailability of Virat Kohli after the first Test in Adelaide.’
Rameez Raja further said, ‘India has a batting order that can beat Australia and at the same time there is a lot of improvement in Indian bowling. The bowling attack is also very good and that will be on the mind of Australia.
He said, ‘India will miss Rohit Sharma in the limited overs series because he is now the world’s biggest batsman in white ball cricket.
Let us know that Rohit is recovering from a leg muscle injury and will be available only for the Test series.
