new Delhi: Former Indian team player and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir (Gautam Gambhir) will start a ‘Jan Rasoi’ restaurant. In the ‘Jan Rasoi’, needy people in their parliamentary constituency East Delhi will be served lunch for one rupee.
Gambhir said in his office that he will start the first restaurant in Gandhi Nagar on Thursday, after which a similar restaurant will be opened in Ashok Nagar on Republic Day.
Gambhir (Gautam Gambhir) said, ‘I have always believed that beyond caste, creed, religion and financial circumstances, everyone has the right to eat healthy and clean food. It is regrettable to see that homeless and destitute people cannot get bread even twice a day ‘.
Gambhir (Gautam Gambhir) has planned to open at least one ‘Jan Rasoi’ eatery in ten Delhi Assembly constituencies.
The statement from the MP’s office said, “The Jan Kitchen to be opened in Gandhi Nagar, one of the largest wholesale textile markets in the country, will be fully modernized, providing food to the needy for one rupee”.
According to the statement, there will be a seating arrangement of 100 people at a time, but due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, only 50 people will be allowed to sit. Rice, pulses and vegetables will be given in the lunch.
The statement said that the expenses of this scheme will be borne with the help of Gautam Gambhir Foundation and MP’s personal resources and government’s help will not be taken.
