New Delhi: Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir has strongly opposed the idea of resuming cricket between India and Pakistan. Gambhir believes that until Pakistan stops terrorism across the border in Jammu and Kashmir, India should not play cricket with this neighboring country. Gambhir said – our soldiers matter
Gambhir (Gautam Gambhir) argued that Indian cricketers are paid handsomely to play for the country, but the soldiers selflessly protect the country. Gambhir said, ‘I have not done any favors by playing for the country and winning the match, but look at someone who is defending us on the Siachen or Pakistan border and risking his life with a little money. . Gambhir wanted to join the army since childhood
Gambhir wanted to join the Indian Army since childhood, but when he was in school and started playing in the prestigious Ranji Trophy played at home level, his parents made him play for India at the international level. His love for army uniform remains intact
Although his love for the army and the uniform of the Indian Army remains intact, he refused to accept any honorary offer to join the Territorial Army for civilians in India. Describing the uniform of soldiers as sacred, he said that the soldiers wearing it shed their blood, sacrificing their lives while protecting the country. He said, ‘Any person who does not sacrifice so much, then he should not wear this uniform.’

The former left-handed opener believes that it is the moral responsibility of every Indian to speak to soldiers who are firing bullets in Jammu and Kashmir due to cross-border terrorism from Pakistan.
