Glenn Maxwell can get CSK to open, Aakash Chopra explains the reason

new Delhi: Preparations for the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) are now gaining momentum. There will be a mini auction before the IPL starting on March 25, in which all the franchisees will keep an eye on the inclusion of certain players in their team. All eight franchises have already released and retained their players. During the IPL auction, all the teams are eyeing Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Alex Hales and David Malan.

Former Indian cricket team opener Aakash Chopra believes that the three-time former champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) can include Glenn Maxwell or Steve Smith in their team during the IPL auction.

This former batsman is unhappy with England’s team selection against India, also said big thing about BCCI

Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel, ‘Chennai (CSK) has only one overseas slot left. The arrival of Suresh Raina strengthens the team’s middle order, but CSK may still need an overseas opener. Shane Watson has already retired while Murali Vijay has been released.

He said, ‘CSK has paid more attention to foreign openers for the last few years. I think the name of Glenn Maxwell must be running in his mind. The team does not have an off-spinner and no off-spinner is going to be easily available in the auction. In such a situation, off-spin bowling can be done along with Maxwell opening. Anything can happen if the rest is Dhoni.

Aakash Chopra further stated that CSK may also include Steve Smith, Jason Roy or Aaron Finch. There can also be an option Malan, but Dhoni prefers to play with experienced players. Dhoni wants to keep tested players in the team.

Team India ‘insulted’ on Australian tour, Ashwin’s big reveal

Akash believes that Robin Uthappa is difficult to find a place in the last 11 players. He said, ‘I don’t think Uthappa will get a place in Playing 11. The team has Rituraj Gaykwad, Suresh Raina, Faf du Plesis in the top order and Dhoni (MS Dhoni) himself in the middle order. In such a situation, it is difficult for Uthappa to get a place. I believe that Gaikwad can be opened.

Let us know that before the start of IPL, there may be a mini auction in the first or second week of February. The 14th season of the IPL starts on March 25, while the final match will be played on May 15.
