What was Operation Blue Star?

Let us tell you that Operation Blue Star was carried out from June 1 to June 8, 1984 at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. This was a big mission done by the Indian Army. Under this operation, the Indian Army had entered the Golden Temple and expelled the terrorists led by Bhindranwale, who wanted to create a separate country for the Sikh community in the name of Khalistan.

Controversy over Bhindranwale’s name

Let us inform that the Prime Minister of India was Indira Gandhi at that time and in view of the deteriorating situation in Punjab, Operation Blue Star was carried out. Although Harbhajan did not explicitly name Bhindranwale, his Instagram story featured Bhindranwale’s picture prominently. Harbhajan has taken 417 wickets in 103 Test matches for India.
