New Delhi: West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo once again recalled the incident when he played his role in connecting Kieron Pollard to the Mumbai Indians team. Bravo used to play for Mumbai Indians in 2008 and 2010 and after Bravo joined Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai team was looking for a replacement for Bravo.
What was the incident involving Pollard from Mumbai?
Bravo told Cricbuzz, ‘When Mumbai Indians were looking for a player as my replacement, I named him Pollard. When he talked to Pollard, he was playing for a club at that time. So I again named Dwayne Smith and later Mumbai kept him as my replacement.

Bravo said, ‘During the Champions League next year, I spoke to Rahul Sanghvi and told him,’ Pollard is here. Go to them and make a contract with them before the tournament starts. That year Rahul Sanghvi and Robin Singh left Mumbai and joined Hyderabad.
Pollard was not convinced on the contract of 2 million US dollars
Bravo said, ‘Both had taken a contract of two million US Dollars with Pollard. When Pollard saw the contract, he could not believe it. He later asked Bravo whether you were serious. Pollard has so far scored 3191 runs for Mumbai Indians at an average of 150.87 and has also taken 63 wickets.
