Mohammad Kaif told, ‘When I was young, I saw Amitabh Bachchan walking in a jeep in his home town Allahabad after winning the election.’ Kaif said, ‘When I returned to my hometown Allahabad after the historic victory over England, I was also taken in an open jeep. It took me about three-four hours to travel five-six kilometers to my home. I felt like I am Amitabh Bachchan.

Chasing a huge target in this match, Ganguly and Virender Sehwag had a partnership of 106 runs for the first wicket, but from here the team suddenly stumbled and their score became five for 146 runs in 24 overs. After Ganguly’s dismissal, India lost the wickets of Sehwag, Dinesh Mongia, Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar at regular intervals.
