ICC banned Roy Kaia, know why he got such a big punishment!

New Delhi: The 29-year-old has been suspended after Zimbabwe’s off-spin bowler Roy Kaia’s bowling action was found suspicious in the only Test match against Bangladesh in July. The International Cricket Council (ICC) gave this information on Tuesday.

The bowling action started

Kaia has played three Test matches for Zimbabwe so far, but he has not been able to take a single wicket. The ICC said on Tuesday that an independent assessment had found Kaia’s bowling action suspicious and he was suspended from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect. However, under Article 11.5 of the ICC, Kaia has been allowed to bowl in domestic matches after consent from Zimbabwe Cricket.

Suspect found against Bangladesh

Kaia’s bowling action was found to be suspicious in the only Test match against Bangladesh played in Harare from July 7 to 11. An expert panel had seen photos of Kaia’s bowling action, but due to the restrictions imposed due to Kovid, his action could not be investigated at the ICC Center.

It was clear after seeing the photos

After seeing the photos, the ICC found that Kaia’s action is rotating more than 15 degrees, which is not correct according to the rules. After making changes in Kaiya’s action, there will be an investigation once again.
