New Delhi: The ICC has released the latest rankings after the end of the three-match ODI series between India and England (IND vs ENG). The Indian team and the players of England, who also performed brilliantly on the tour, have gained a lot in the rankings.
Virat remains on top
Indian team captain Virat Kohli is still at the top in the ongoing ODI rankings. Virat had a half-century in the first two ODIs against England. The second number is Babar Azam of Pakistan. While at number three is India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma. KL Rahul, who played a century in the second ODI, has moved from 31st to 27th position.
While Hardik Pandya has reached a career-best 42nd position. Apart from this, Rishabh Pant has also entered the top 100.
Bhuvi benefited from bowlers
Talking about the bowlers, Team India’s senior fast bowler Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has moved up to number 11 with the advantage of 9 places. This is Bhuvi’s best ranking since September 2017 (10). While the highest wicket-taker in the series, Shardul Thakur has reached 80 from 93rd position.
Talking about T20 ranking, Rahul and Kohli have lost one place. Both these players are now in 5th and 6th place respectively. There is no Indian player in the T20 list of bowlers and all-rounders.
Ashwin Best in Tests
Talking about the Test rankings, India’s legendary spinner R Ashwin is in second place in the bowlers. Above Ashwin is Pat Cummins of Australia. In the list of all-rounders, Ravindra Jadeja is third and Ashwin is fourth behind them. Kohli is at fifth position in the batsmen. While wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma (Rohit Sharma) are jointly in seventh place.
